medical assistance advocacy
We are launching a strategic advocacy campaign (see attachment) aimed at expanding equitable, non-pharmacologic, and cost-effective care options, like chiropractic, for the patients who need it most. This is all hands-on deck to make a difference, we need to show up in numbers to advocate for our patients and communities. If you are not yet a member, please join as a member, your membership dollars directly support legislative efforts.
How You Can Help
We’re mobilizing Minnesota chiropractors to:
- Share patient success stories
- Educate and activate your patients using advocacy tools and clinic materials
- Engage with legislators through meetings, communication campaign, and our MCA Day at the Capitol (Feb. 19, 2026). Register here!
- Participate in consistent advocacy actions and encourage your colleagues to do the same
We are working on the resources for you.

FAQ
Please email the MCA with any questions: Info@MNChiro.com
How are patients with dual Medicare and Medicaid coverage impacted?
For patients with both Medicare and Medicaid/MA (including MNCare), Medicare will remain their primary insurance and is unaffected by the MA cut. However, MA will no longer cover the patient’s responsibility (such as coinsurance or copay) that may previously have been covered under their Medicare plan. Example: Mary has a Medicare 80/20 coinsurance plan. Medicare reimburses $30.40 of the $38 allowed amount. MA covers $7.60 of the remaining amount. In 2026, the patient will pay for the $7.60 out of pocket.

Share a Testimonial
We are gathering stories from Minnesota chiropractors and from patients enrolled in Medical Assistance or MN Care about how the upcoming elimination of chiropractic benefits (for adults 21+) has and will affect you. Your experiences are important and will help us advocate for better access to care. Please know that anything you share will remain completely anonymous. Click HERE
